Turn It In Defined

‘Turn It In’ is an electronic text matching system used by universities that compares the text in a students assignment against a database of sources. This identifies if any work has been directly copied from another source.

A report is provided with the ‘Matched Text’ being underlined, colour coded and linked to the original source. The report also indicates that amount of work that has been copied and is linked via the ‘Similarity Index’.
